You are going to meet many patients in a day. You have to have good communication skills, pleasant personality and a customer-caring attitude. You should also be clean and dressed well. A technician has to practice accuracy in his job. One cannot afford to make mistakes when it comes to medicines and drugs. The patient’s life and health is related to what medicines he or she consumes. Make sure you always read the prescription twice before mixing two medicines or counting pills, or weighing a medicine. Keep a notebook handy and refer to it regularly. Ask the licensed pharmacist if you have a doubt or question. Seek help where you need it. After all, you will meet your learning curve and it will take some time to get to a level where a professional and experienced technical pharmacist has arrived.
