Teething Symptoms - And The Best Holistic Solution

Typical teething symptoms can include one or more of the following: drooling, sore gums, with a desire to chomp on something, a red cheek, a slight fever, irritability, a rash and pain. Children with a strong and healthy immune system seem to have no trouble with this growth phase.

But children with a compromised immune system can really struggle.

A common solution to help children (and the whole family) through this is to give them a medication which contains either pain killers or alcohol. Whilst this may settle the pain, it doesn’t do a lot of good to your child’s overall health.

The alternative route is to use homeopathy. This works by stimulating the immune system.

Consulting with a professional homeopath is the easiest option for most people. But you can do some of the leg work yourself, and work out the most appropriate homeopathic medicine for your child.

One of the best homeopathic medicines for any growth phase is Calcarea carbonica (Calc carb). But your child’s symptoms need to match those of the medicine, for it to work.

The typical symptoms of Calc carb include:

problems during a growth phase, or slow growth (eg teething)
craves eggs, especially boiled
constipated, but unaffected by it
sweat smells sour
sweats mainly at the hairline or back of the head
easily frightened (eg the dark, monsters, animals, heights)
is normally plump or plumpish
suffers in the cold or wet

Apart from the teething symptoms, if you can match another two strong symptoms in the above list, to your child, then Calc carb is likely to make the whole process easy and pain free.
