When you thing of Texas vacation spots one of the first things that pops into your mind probably is San Antonio and the Alamo. You'll be in for dry heat but at night it gets cool quickly so be sure when you're packing to bring a long pants and a sweater. The scenery, though, is absolutely breath taking and makes for wonderful photographs. You can spend your day traversing some of the hills and your evenings sitting out under the stars. Of course, the hill country isn't all about the outdoors. There are several towns and cities located in this area so you'll have a lot to do if you don't want to get out in nature. By visiting either of these cities you'll be able to take in historical sites, good food, and lots of shopping.
