The 12 Signs Of Zodiac And The Influence Of Planets

Signs are one of the languages of astrology. Zodiac signs or signs tells us people try and attempt to attain the goals ascertained by the nature of each of the planets. These zodiac signs are categorized into 12 signs that may be deemed as 12 categorizations of a person’s character as well.

These 12 zodiac signs are amalgamation of expressed energy. This expressed energy is then categorized through their relationship to the four elements that we know of which are: water, fire, air and earth. Likewise this expressed energy is also categorized through their relationship to the three modes that are: birth, continuity of existence, transformation or death. Looking at these three modes one could figure out that these modes are related to the three phases or what we call stages in life of a person.

The language of astrology tells us that the first mode, which is the birth mode, is also the initiating phase. In this regard, birth mode is also called the cardinal mode. On the other hand, the second mode that is the continuity of existence mode is called the fixed mode while the transformative mode or the death mode where change is present is called the mutable mode.
The twelve zodiac signs are expressed by way of the four elements and the three modes; each sign has an element and a mode from which it defines an expressed energy.

The elements---water, fire, air and earth carries in each specific zodiacs. Water signs include the zodiacs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Zodiacs under the element of water personify emotional, receptive and sensitive traits.

Fire signs include Aries, Leo and Sagittarius zodiacs. Fire signs personify passionate, energetic, self-directing and assertive characters.

While air signs include zodiacs that personify mental, communicative and social characters such as Aquarius, Gemini and Libra; earth signs including Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn represents reliable, practical and very sensual personifications.

These personifications given are just some of the personifications that may be attributed and represented by the four elements and their relationship with the three modes. An entire book that discusses all these has already been written and thus could provide a more detailed interpretation to the zodiacs and the representations that they carry through their relationship with the four elements as well as the three modes.

But aside from the personifications, archetypes for each of the twelve zodiacs are also deemed by their relationships to the modes, and the elements. These archetypes are the following:

Aries archetypes include warrior, daredevil, pioneer, and survivor. Taurus archetypes are builder, earth spirit, musician, and conservationist; Gemini has archetypes that include teacher, storyteller, writer and Jack of all trades; Cancer has mother, nurturer, psychic or empress archetypes; Leo has performer, king or queen, comedian and child archetypes; Virgo has analyst, perfectionist, servant, and efficiency expert archetypes; Libra has diplomat, peacemaker, lover, or artist archetypes; Scorpio has detective, sorcerer, alchemist, or avenger archetypes while Sagittarius has student, philosopher, gypsy or visionary archetypes.
