The 4 Secrets To Gaining Maximum Muscle Mass

Building muscle Mass– Basically, it's Go Big or Go Home. Many of you have been trying to get massive quads, huge delts and a set of pecs that could keep your feet dry in a rain storm. All too often your efforts haven’t given you the results that you’re after. Why does it seem that some guys in the gym (and girls too) can train and grow bigger, seemingly day by day, while you’ve never been able to pull it off? Is it because they’re blessed with perfect genetics? Maybe, but unlikely. Maybe it’s because they work at a supplement store and get great deals on all the best supplements. Again, possible, but just as unlikely. So, what is their secret to gaining muscle mass? Do you have to be a member of bodybuilding’s inner circle in order to find out the answer? Is it some sort of mass building Skull & Bones?

There is no muscle building secret, but there are some rules you must follow in order to make the incredible muscle gains you’re looking for. If you can follow these muscle building rules, you will make incredible progress. In no time you’ll see lean muscle popping out from places you didn’t think any existed. You’ll be the envy of all those who used to wonder why you bothered.

Mass Building Secret #1 – Intensity is king. That’s numero uno. You’ve got to kick start your muscles and shock them into growth. Without sufficient intensity, your muscles will never balloon to the proportions you’re after. You’ve got to really get after it. Use whatever principles are at your disposal on order to increase your training intensity. Go to failure, then lighten the weight and do a few more reps; do strict form to failure, then cheat a few more reps out; whatever it takes intensity is vital to gaining the size you’re after.

Don’t make your training sessions too long. You should be able to train 2 muscle groups effectively in well under an hour. Short, intense training sessions are the order of the day. A training partner really helps in this regard. Not only is it safer, you can make sure your partner gets out those last few reps that really make a difference. The competition between partners can also help boost training intensity as well.

Mass Building Secret #2 – You’re not growin’ if you’re not restin’. Recovery is crucial. Failure to provide your muscles with adequate recovery periods will lead to overtraining, a condition where all progress stops. Make sure you leave long enough time between training sessions for the same muscle group. Allow 5 to 7 days between training sessions for the same body parts, depending upon your age, metabolism and genetics. Remember to get plenty of sleep too. You really only grow when you’re sleeping.

Mass Building Secret #3 – Stay with the big stuff. You should make sure to concentrate on the big, compound movements such as the bench press, squat, deadlift and overhead press. These involve and stimulate the maximum number of muscle fibers for maximum growth. Nothing wrong with blasting your biceps and triceps with a few sets along the way, but make sure you concentrate on the big stuff, especially in the beginning, if you want to pack on maximum mass.

Mass Building Secret #4 – Eat to win. You’ve always knew that anyway, so it’s really no secret, is it? Eating many small meals for maximum nutrient assimilation is essential. You can use supplements too; it makes it easier to get the nutrients your body needs when you’re really trying to pack on mass, especially for those with busy schedules. One more thing, stay away from alcohol, not only is it empty calories, your liver can’t help your body metabolize fat when it’s busy trying to detoxify your blood. In addition, it’s hard to attack your training sessions with maximum intensity when you’re hung over.
