The Art Of Goal Setting

Goal setting is one of the main aspects of time management. Since determining what your priorities are and setting goals are such an important part of time management, I decided to make a separate mention. As a young woman looking for success and happiness in life, setting goals is the most reliable way to achieve real and lasting success.

Goal setting allows you to define and plan your ideas into concepts that can be easily followed. When you set a goal, stick to the plan, and achieve that goal, you enjoy the fulfillment and pleasure of a job well done. It will also improve your confidence level, which will have a positive impact on other areas of your life. Here are some of the other benefits from learning to set goals:

• Learn to understand your strengths and weaknesses
• Develop the power of focus
• Allows you to use your talents fully
• Gives you peace of mind and a sense of accomplishment
• Will allow you to do and have more
• Gives you direction and purpose in life
• Helps you be more organized and effective
• Allows you to give more
• Allows you to accomplish most, if not all, of your goals and dreams

Setting goals will allow you to plan your personal and professional life, and will help you set priorities. The more you do it, the more routine it will become. Setting goals lets you choose where you want to go in life. Plus, by knowing what you want to achieve, you can see a clear picture of the roadmap you need to take to get there and concentrate on it.

Since goals are set on a number of different levels, you can decide what your “big rock” goals are, and then break them down into smaller goals. This will allow you to make the small steps that will help you reach bigger goals. Do it all while having fun and being true to yourself.
