Nevertheless, with careful planning and eagerness to do some of the work yourself, you can keep it within your limit. You may want to do it one step at a time also in order to spread out the costs.

Start with small plants. It will cost reasonably less and will adapt to being transplanted and cultivate much faster than the larger plants. Buy plants that can be split into several new ones. If you are a seasoned gardener, think over growing plants from seed rather than buying them.

If you have obscure projects in mind and you want a professional landscaper, then hire one. Choose the right man for the job. It is important to hire someone, that knows what he is doing. You may want to ask your friends for referrals or to choose a landscaper with verified references. Once you have found the right one, meet with them and discuss how they will do the work. But keep in mind that you are in charge and you can negotiate on how you want it to go to satisfy your needs and not put strain on your budget.
