The Best Films About Sales
Glengarry Glen Ross: This cult classic movie about salesmen presents the men in a sympathetic light. The characters in this film are forced to engage in shady tactics to secure their sales. Their sales training is questionable at best, but only the two most successful salesmen will keep their jobs. However, upper management gives them terrible leads while expecting extraordinary sales. Originally a play, this film occurs in relatively few locations, and is widely known for the use of profanity and the strength of the acting. Cadillac Man: With Robin Williams in the lead, this movie about a car salesman operates on a similar premise as Glengarry Glen Ross. The lead character has only a few days in which to sell a certain number of cars if he doesn't want to lose his job. In the end, the protagonist's strong sales and negotiation techniques save the day when the car dealership is taken hostage. Tommy Boy: This absurd film tells the story of one inadequately trained sales professional and his efforts to save the family business. The title character employs some ridiculous tactics to secure sales, including dressing up like a terrorist and threatening to blow himself up unless his sale is made. There are countless other films that offer glimpses of sales, sales training, and sales workshops and seminars. Still others rely on the old trope of the con-artist traveling salesmen, who finds love and a conscience and realizes the error of his ways. We enjoy both, and hope that other successful salespeople are able to laugh along with everyone else. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Best sales movies |
