Recurring Income is the best. Selling products once and getting a lifetime commission for it is simply the most rewarding. In fact, unless I have a way to sell a one time product that generates sales on autopilot, I prefer to earn commission from 1 product for life.
Don't get me wrong, selling information products is 1 way to make a living online. Thing is, I feel that for most people, unless they know how to sell that product using technology which will cost money, its not going to be recurring. Reason for this is we need to constantly market and when we have to invest time, our time to sell the product then its just a job. When our money is not working for us, we're not creating financial freedom.
1) Affiliate Marketers
The more advanced affiliate marketers are able use PPC. PPC means being versed in Adwords, Yahoo Marketing, MSN. There is an investment, because clicks cost money. However, if we know how to effectively use money to advertise and make money, then we're letting our money work for us. If we want to become rich, in my opinion, contradicting to what many forums say, knowing how to play the PPC game is important.
2) Vendors
Vendors often use affiliates to market their products to free up their time to handle other things, such as customer queries, product updates etc. Not all vendors succeed at attracting affiliates to market for them. You may even have created a product but found it hard to launch or even attract people to market for you.
3) MLM
The last and best way is to be involved in Network Marketing. But you gotta learn how to do it right, do it once and do it right, do it wrong and you'll join the rest of the people who are crying "MLM is a scam" (chuckle :)). For every good thing that is said about MLM, 9 bad comments are passed. I can't disagree totally with the bad comments because sometimes, actions by network marketers justify the negative comments passed.
A professional Network Marketer shares the business with others who either need the product offered, or want to build a MLM business. Quick analogy, we should be like a good dentist, one would not chase down people who have a full set of teeth; he only pulls the teeth out for those who have a dental need to be filled. How would you feel about a doctor who kept chasing you down to heal you of disease when you have no need for their services? Irritated yes? We love doctors because they fulfil a need in our lives.
Likewise, a successful Network Marketer helps those who express a need, a want to build a fortune in Network Marketing, trust me on this.
In MLM, there are those in the winners circle, and those that are not. Those not in the winners circle would feel right in justifying that MLM is bad, wrong, and have many reasons and legitmate past experiences to prove it. They will also have an empty account.
Those in the winners circle will say MLM works, and have a recurring income when they retire, enjoying a great life with no worries about money.
