PPC and SEO are entirely different methods. Whilst the former works on a system of bidding, or paying, for keywords related to your service or product with the aim of reaching the top of search engine rankings. Search engine optimisation however, relies on non-paid keyword research, as well as building link popularity both on and off your website. By optimising a site via the integration of carefully researched key phrases, one is able to drive their site up the ranking pages.

It is advisable in light of this information therefore, to invest in an SEO programme of improvement, planning for the long term success of a site. If however, you have the budget and are looking to enhance your site performance in the meantime, the benefits of a PPC campaign are there to be taken advantage of.

Return on investment is the most important factor here. While PPC will produce immediate results for potentially less effort, the profit margins on offer are not as great as those which may be achieved by an expert implementation of SEO site modifications.
