The Cause Of Diabetes

As the years goes by, more and more people are diagnosed with diabetes. You've heard of it almost anywhere especially in some health news where Type 2 diabetes is becoming more prevalent on children mostly in the United States and Europe, but this disease is not only attacking children, diabetes can strike anywhere and to anyone, but what really is the cause of this disease?

Many researches had been organized and form to identity the exact cause of diabetes, but to no avail. There is no clear evidence as to what causes it. However, there are theories and ideas that may somehow lead to diabetes. One of this is diet, where it is considered to be one of the major cause of diabetes. Our bodies need balanced diet to produce the right amount of chemical reaction within the body and for it to perform well. Too much consumption of foods slows down the pancreas in producing insulin therefore with insufficient insulin emission the glucose level rises, thus, leads to diabetes. Obesity is also considered a major cause of diabetes, where excessive body weight will lead to having diabetes because of the extra amount of fat in the body. Other contributing factor is age, why age? It is because when a person gets older he becomes less active and tends to gain weight which may lead to pancreatic dysfunction which increases his risk of developing the disease. Another factor is having a sedentary lifestyle without much exercise. All of these things and more are contributing factors to Type 2 diabetes, which may lead to Type 1 diabetes if not controlled.

Type 1 diabetes may have been viral or environmental causes, and is common to people with non-Hispanic, Northern European origins, and are rarely seen in people of Asian descent.
