The Dating Game On Rock Of Love

Rock of love is a very popular reality dating game show which is very similar to its sister show 'flavor of love'. It is an American show which features Bret Michaels who is the lead singer in the popular band called Poison. This is a show designed for dating and hopefully finding 'the one'. In the first season, a group of 25 girls had to compete to win the heart of Bret. The girls went through various challenges and, with every win of a particular challenge, the winner would enjoy some time with the man himself. It is a captivating reality series which seeks to answer the old age question; can you find real love on TV? The answer to this question is not always easy and, you as the fan will find out first hand just what it takes to date in front of keen viewers. As a confirmation of the fact that finding love is not easy, the winner of the first season rock of love Jes Rickleff said that she was not romantically attracted to Bret. Jes is from Naperville. She even went ahead to say that it was better for Bret to have chosen the runner up who was Heather.

The second season of rock of love started with another set of 20 women competing for the same price which is Bret’s heart. The show was great fun and games as the ladies won challenges to the dates with Bret. At the end of the show, Bret chose a 37 year old woman from Los Angeles California. Her name was Ambre Lake and their relationship only lasted for a few months until they decided to break it off. The other season is due to be aired early 2009. The show just like all other shows is never absent of controversies and, many were keen to listen to all the side details that come with such shows. For example it was rumored that Heather had tried to sleep with Vanilla Ice as the show was being filmed. This was the story in the first season. In the second season, it was discovered that Daisy had lived with her ex boyfriend for 2 years and this was very interesting considering that there was word that the ex boyfriend had confronted Bret. It is surely a crazy world with rock of love. This brings me to my next concern. Is it really a good idea to go on TV if you are serious about finding a mate?

Another question is whether the contestants are able to divorce reality and entertainment when it comes to finding true love. Clearly, many reality dating games have not had the level of success necessary when it comes to building serious and strong relationships. They have definitely succeeded in entertaining the masses and this is probably all that matters. There is a lot to learn from these shows and, it is paramount that you learn from the contestants on what dating is all about and the various characters you are bound to meet in the dating game of life. One thing you can be sure of is plenty of fun while watching.
