The Ease Of Planning Your Trip On The Internet

There are a lot of things which are inconvenient about flying, but with advances in technology, there are some things which have actually gotten better about the process in the last several years. You're going to say, what could have possibly gotten better. Are the security check-points any better? No, the security check-points are not better, actually they might have even got worse, but really there is nothing that we can do about that, it's just something that we'll always have to cope with from now on; a part of life.

Security check-points are not going anywhere any time soon, or more likely never. So the flight attendants have gotten friendlier and the passengers are more cooperative and polite? No, this hasn't happened either, and I would venture to argue, that the same things that make the passengers cranky and ornery, are the same things that make the flight attendants lives harder than they should be.

Mainly because of the airlines insistence on cutting out all amenities and extras like a snack or charging you for every little bag or reducing the flight crew to the absolute minimum of personnel as to save a couple of dollars per flight. This makes the flight attendants jobs more difficult than they should be, because they are often understaffed and because of this, the passengers are less taken care of and get impatient and sometimes ruder than they typically would and the attendants lose their patience, and you are able to see where this is heading.

So no, this has not gotten any better, but it's not just the attendants' fault, it's more of the airlines fault. But enough of what has gotten worse, the main thing that has gotten better is the capability to do much of your preparations on the internet without having to contend with a travel agent or calling the airlines for all of the information that you might want.

Also, any questions that you have, times, schedules and information can all be found online and saves you from the hassle of working your way through an operator to find the answer to a simple question. This alone has made the experience a little bit easier, and if you can start the process stress free and easily, then the small hiccups that you encounter down the line don't seem quite as bad and a lot more manageable. Of course, parking and getting through the airport can always change your mood from good to bad in about two minutes.
