The Future Of Facebook?

Social networking is highly regarded in most countries. There are lots of different sites to share personal information on. Facebook is used by millions. People all over the world have a Facebook account. If you are in the younger age bracket it may seem rather odd to some that you aren't on Facebook. Social networking has increased in popularity over the past couple of years. Prior to 2008 only a small minority of people were interested in social media. There were a vast number of people who didn't even know what social media was. Few people predicted how popular it would become.

Facebook has bright prospects as people enjoy interacting with others over the internet. It can be fun and people spend hours on Facebook each day. Over the next decade it will probably have a higher number of members and there may be a lot of extra functions that were not available previously. Some people may discontinue using Facebook as they don't really want their photo in the public domain. People need to think twice before posting any photos or comments. Writing derogatory remarks about somebody is hurtful but worryingly easy to do on Facebook. It is important to remember what is written in cyber space stays there. Millions of people can read it.

When these elements are put aside Facebook is a great social networking website run by talented people who understand the social networking landscape. It is a great way to communicate with friends overseas and even meet new friends. In a way it is a bit of a popularity contest as many of us would like to have lots of friends to show off about. This is a great draw of the site and this is what makes the future bright for the site. It is possible to share your friends with the world and upload images of yourself which put you in a positive light. It is great being able to change your photo on a daily basis or whenever you feel like a change.

In a couple of years we may see some brand new features such as video uploading of experiences which could be exciting. Who knows what is installed for Facebook however it is to be sure it will be with us for the next century on a much larger scale. Only privacy issues can bring down Facebook in the foreseeable future.
