Purchasing warehouse supplies can be the biggest headache in a warehouse manager's day. There are just so many little things that have to always be kept tabs on. If you run out of one little essential supply or an order doesn't come on time, it can throw your entire work flow into disarray.

Finally, quitting time rolls around. You've taken care of all the day's orders and feel like there is nothing else you need. Then the janitor comes in and shows you his worn out mop and broom. He also points out that you need more waste receptacles. You tell him you will get onto those things first thing tomorrow.

As you can see, staying on top of essential warehouse supplies can take up the better part of a day's work. It used to be a much bigger job, though, when you had to find a different supplier for each category of supplies and then stay on top of every purchase order you made.
