The people who are successful at Internet marketing know the importance of having a squeeze page or a list opt in page as the first page of their website. Whether marketing on the Internet or marketing in the real world, building a list of customers is the most important thing you can do. The reason why later.

How do you get customers to sign up to your list? You show them what's in it for them. Give them something of great value to them at low or no cost. Something that they need now.

All of the best list building pages have a great headline. They will also have a graphic or image of the product or benefit and three to five bullet points. The most important part item will be the opt in box, created by the autoresponder service that you use to collect all their details.

Your bullet points are to tell them "What's in it for me?" and why they will want to fill in the boxes of the opt in form. After they fill in your boxes you're going to answer that question, "What's in it for me?"
What's the first step to writing the bullet points? Make a list of every benefit you can think of in regards to what will your product or service will do for the client? Take your time over this process because it's very important.

But what's a benefit? Anything that would entice you to sign up to your list. What does your product or service do for you as a client?
Look at a few squeeze pages and see what entices you, use the same ideas on your page. Show them how the features of your product or program will benefit them. When you do that, they are more able to relate to what it is you're selling. Successful Internet marketing requires you to build great squeeze pages. Things to remember. Use a great headline, some benefit laden bullet points and an opt in box on your list building page.

Why do you need to capture their name and email address into your autoresponder? If they just go to a sales page they may or may not buy then and there but they will be gone forever. Then you will have to find more traffic all over again. When they sign up to your list, you can keep sending them more products or offers forever or until they opt out of your list if you over do it. So show some respect to the people on your list and they will look after you.
