The Important Keys Of Building Muscle

I know a lot of people out there want to have a much bigger muscle mass on them, but really aren't sure how to do it properly. There is a surprising amount of misinformation out there that I really think comes from infomercials. These topics aren't really discussed with people by their parents or at school, so they learn it from a marketing campaign.

I think the first important key is to realize that your diet means everything. If it isn't done right, the best workout in the world won't mean anything. But, if you have the greatest diet and a sub par workout, your results will be good. I think the most important thing you need to do is get off the current meal time you're on and start eating a smaller meal every 2-3hrs. This stimulates your metabolism and gives your body the necessary nutrients to repair muscle tissue throughout the day.

The second thing is getting the proper sleep you need. Most people just get 5-6hrs a night and that really isn't enough when it comes to building muscle. The biggest portion of muscle repair occurs when you're sleeping and your body expects you to be sleeping for 9hrs a night. If you don't than you're missing out on a lot of muscle repair.

Lastly, you need to understand that the length of your workout doesn't count. You could workout for 2hrs and it wouldn't make a difference. It's how intense your workout is. If you're working out intensely for 10 minutes, dripping in sweat from exhaustion, you're going to build more muscle than any other workout.
