Kitchen stools have a variety of uses, so choose material that is durable, especially if you have children in your household.
Don't buy soft wood stools, but instead choose ones that are made from metals like chrome, aluminum, iron, or steel; if not metal, get hard wood.
You will need to measure the height of the counter tops and the seat height and compare them.
When sitting down in them make sure you are comfortable.
Always keep in mind that children are facinated with bar stools, so they will use them, as well.
