The Mighty Boosh: Award Details
The Auto Boosh has won the Barry Award in 2000 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It has also won Douglas Adams award in 2001 for Innovative writing. The Mighty Boosh received the best full length solo show category award in the Chortle Awards in 2007. And at the Loaded LAFTAS, it was given the Funniest TV program for the Series three in 2007. Series three received the NME awards for three consecutive years in 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively. This collaboration has been a nominee at many award functions, like, in 1999, it was nominated for the Perrier comedy award at the Edinburgh festival fringe. It was nominated as the Best TV Comedy show at the British Comedy Award in 2004. The Series one has been nominated at the British Comedy awards, Loaded LAFTAS, for the Best New Comedy series and funniest TV program respectively in the year 2004. The series 2 received the RTS Craft and Design Awards, BAFTA TV awards, Loaded LAFTAS for Costume Design- Entertainment and Non Drama Productions, Best Director, funniest TV program, Funniest double act, funniest DVD respectively in the years 2005, 2006, 2007. At the Loaded LAFTAS award, Series three was nominated for the Funniest TV program, Funniest double Act in the year 2007. The series Three won the Situation, comedy and comedy drama award at the RTS Program awards in the year 2008. On 18th September, 2008, The Canon gate Books published the Mighty Book of Boosh, compiled and written by Dave Brown, Noel Fielding and Rich Filcher. The book consists of whacky stories, letters, various pictures and, artwork from all Mighty Boosh characters. The DVD’s of the various episodes have also been released, the first of which have been released on 29th August, 2005 in the UK and on 21st July 2009 in the USA. The first DVD was titled the Mighty Boosh consisting of all 8 episodes of the first TV series across 2 discs. It consists of Inside the Zoon verse, history of Boosh, Commentaries on the “Bolo”, “Tundra”, Electro and the “Hitcher”. The Mighty Boosh 2 was released on 13th February, 2006 in the UK and on 21st July, 2009 in the USA. It consisted of all the 6 episodes of the second series, plus a second disc of special features like making the second series and deleted scenes. It consists of episodes like Boosh pilot, Boosh publicity. The DVD of Mighty Boosh Live was released on 13th November, 2006 in the UK. It has the documentation of the backstage and tour. The Ralfe band, a deleted scene , the culture show piece. The Mighty Boosh three DVD released in February, 2008 contains all the 6 episodes of the third series across 2 discs. Making Boosh three, Boosh promotion, deleted scenes. The Mighty Boosh special Edition DVD was later released on 17th November 2008 while in the USA it was released on 13th October 2009. This was identical to individual releases, “The journey through Time and Space”, behind the scenes of the live night and paramount zoo-keeper sketches. Boosh Live 2 was released as a DVD on November 9, 2009 which featured the full show, commentary, highlights from the Mighty Boosh festival and performances.
