The Most Popular Ghillie Suit

This is the second in a series of 6 episodes in which I describe and discuss the virtues of the more popular ghillie suits. In this episode we'll talk about the most popular ghillie suit on the market; the special ops, paintball, hunter ghillie suit.

This suit is somewhat similar to the suit we talked about in the previous episode, except this one is not built on a set of BDUs. It's built on a very light and smooth no-see-um fabric. This creates a suit that is extremely light and comfortable.

Paintballers love this suit because of it's comfort and mobility. It is durable enough to serve through several seasons of paintball and priced low enough to replace it easily if need be.

Once again the newer synthetics play a big role in the construction of this suit making it fire-retardant, washable, odorless, and non-allergenic. Just as on the previous suit, this one can be vegged out using the mesh the ghillie material is tied to.

Cord locks and drawstings close this suit up to keep out the "creepy-crawlys". The jacket has a zipper covered by a velcro flap. The pants have elastic in the waist and something hardly ever seen on a Ghillie Suit: Belt Loops!
