The Mystery Of Russell Solomon

When you think of thrillers, you may think of some of the best-selling authors of this past century – John Grisham, Michael Crichton, Tom Clancy and Sue Grafton – but Russell Solomon is a new entry into an ever-growing field of mystery thriller authors that are keeping readers on their toes and awake at night. His new novel, “The Lost Pendulum of Montrose,” promises to be the next best-seller and is turning Solomon into an overnight success.

Born and raised in Southern California, Solomon was obsessed as a child with the La Brea Tar Pits. He made up stories about the bones that could be buried there. This led to his lifelong love of paleontology, which is well represented in this novel. Solomon has spent the better part of the past 20 years traveling the world, visiting ancient digs, learning about meaningful relics of previous cultures and putting all of that together to create a thriller like no other.

Russell Solomon has worked in the Los Angeles area as a well-known journalist for years, so you could argue that writing has always been his life. He spent the past three years putting together this intriguing weave of a thriller that is set in New Hampshire. It involves the occult, a graveyard and a lot of secrets that are finally coming to light decades after they were buried.

If you enjoy a good mystery thriller with a little edge to it, then this first book by Russell Solomon is just what you are looking for. The reviews have all been good, so much so that he is already working on a follow-up. But be careful – this is the kind of book that you might not want to put down, so be prepared to stay up all night reading, even if you are scared to go on.
