Most diabetics can keep an eye on their blood glucose levels at home but usually the once a year blood test that your doctor offers will be good enough to let you know of a potential problem that could lead to heart problems and stroke.

Simple numbers like your weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels can be the difference between living a long healthy life or getting really sick.
