The Optimized Diet
In my case, I was told to go on a "low Carb" "low fat" "low Cholesterol" "low sodium" "low sugar" "potassium enriched" diet program. I though, "my god, I will never be able to like food again." This turned out to be far from the fact. I did a lot of inquiries and found each restriction had its own restrictions. I also discovered that most of the "restrictions" are really just good nutrition thoughts that everyone should go by. The "low" seems to usually be defined as compared to the standard awful diet most Americans are used to. I also found we are fed a lot of propaganda by people and agencies with an agenda to advance. Be guaranteed my only agenda is first-class nourishment for superior vigor. I am open to everything that works that is better than what I am doing now. I do not manufacture foods, supplements or anything else. Everything I propose I endorse because I have found solid research that pronounces it is a superior concept and it is something that is working tremendously well for me and those I am ratio. Why PCF ratio rather than simple carbohydrate counting or the exchanges recommended by the ADA? There are two things incorrect with simple carb counting. 1. Almost all meals are a mixture of protein, carbohydrates and fats. Neither carb counting nor the exchanges methods deals effectivly or accuratly in planning a well balanced meal. 2. The old ADA suggestions from five years ago did not account for the dissimilarities in carbohydrates and their effect on blood glucose. 3. While the PCF ratio by it's self does not take into account the dissimilarities in carbohydrates, fats or proteins, it does at the least help get them into a good balance. The ADA and other medical associations give the impression to have the frame of mind that we are all ignorant, iresponsible and incapable of making educated decisions concerning our health. The Optimized Diet is built on the hypothesis that we each have to be our own chronic disease sef-manager. I believe those using The Optimized Diet are intelegent, reasonably informed people capable of making beneficial options and wanting to do the best we can to control our wellbeing. The PCF is harder to employ and is very hard without good nutrition software to apply it. I think the best diet software is the NutriBase Nutrition software we propose at our sites.
