The Perfect Chocolate Cake
Where do you start? I hear you cry, well a simple recipe is probably the best way to go. When you’ve mastered that, and if it isn’t your idea of perfect, then it’s time to move on to a more complicated chocolate cake recipe. There are many chocolate cake recipes on the internet, so take a look and see which have the ingredients that you think will make it the best chocolate cake. Asking opinions is very helpful and it’s clear what people consider to be their idea of the perfect chocolate cake. The cake should be rich, but not so rich for them not to want more, it shouldn’t be too light though as they don’t want to eat the whole thing in one go! There are actually two main opinions as to what makes the best chocolate cake... The first cake is made with cocoa replacing some of the flour. The recipe should have equal amounts of flour, sugar and butter. This makes a light, fluffy cake. The second cake is made with crème fraiche instead of butter. This makes a heavier and much richer chocolate cake. What should be in the middle and on the top of the perfect chocolate cake? Well, butter icing is one of the favourites, if you add a little milk then the icing will be lighter and fluffier, this can be put in the middle of your chocolate cake to sandwich the two pieces together and spread all over the top too! Jam is also a good filling to go inside the cake, along with the butter icing. There are many other toppings that you can add to the perfect chocolate cake, including marshmallows, sweets, sprinkles, it really does depend on what you like.
