Unsharpened knives and pry bars can lead to potential accidents, which is the last thing you want to occur when working several feet up on a roof. All other tools should be inspected as well before being lifted to the roof. Last but not least, make sure you have enough shingles to finish the job and to cover the bare minimum of repairs. If doing this roof job on your own is too hard it might be worth it to call in a professional repair team who is prepared to bring in all the tools you need and the honed expertise in completing the repair for you. If you decide to bring on a roofing contractor, make sure they are qualified. Be sure to confirm the contractors list of references, business license and insurance. Before you make a decision on a contractor, be sure to compare prices. If you find out you have extensive damage it might be just be best to install a new roof.
