The Rise And Rise Of Social Networking

Social Networking sites are all the rage currently and theirs a lot of new social networks emerging these days and for a very good reason, the internet was designed for networking, plain and simple. It’s the very future of personal communication and as we shift to greater and greater leisure time, more and more avenues for human interaction will become more popular.

We all know how powerful and popular Facebook is, but where it stumbles is its restricted content and internal policing. With greater everyday restrictions on adding friends and content parameter limits its destined to be a soft contact system and games facilitator. Many adults are utilizing this ever popular site as a dating and match site, rather like an adult facebook and one can understand why this is certainly not the best platform for such activity.

Many people are now becoming disenchanted with the traditional sites available and are turning to more niche market sites, quickly becoming mainstream. Literally thousands of dating sites have emerged, many owned by large corporates looking for the potential of the almighty advertising dollar. Its still pleasing to see smaller niche driven sites, like Adult World Friends, catering for adults who would like to engage in an adult social community, offering a less restrictive version of social networking, these sites find the popularity growing on an ever increasing daily basis. It's an extremely creative and comprehensive site catering for singles, couples, swingers and one where the focus is on entertainment and having fun, it could never be a bad thing.

What I find pleasing in these sites is that they are social networking sites for adults rather than being an adult site, the limits and exclusions still apply however the advantage of removing the under age crowd means that the adult lifestyle component, and it’s a big one these day, can be allowed to surface.

For any sites to grow and prosper they need their members to continually come back, a simple analogy really and this is where I believe the networking site has advantages over a simple dating site. Don’t get me wrong, the software used for dating sites is bold and compressive, but the philosophy of these sites is to find and locate a partner, whereas the true social network caters for so much more. The dating sites will always be here but long term the social community style of network will grow and continue to grow by virtue of their ability to not appeal to just the act of finding a partner, rather to appeal to the people generally and specifically on a core emotional level.

Where will it end, well it won’t and that’s a good thing for people who still like to make choices about their lives and be able to connect and share in a less restrictive fashion, having fun on a day to day basis.
