The main need for socialization can be seen through the need to be supported. Such need is especially apparent in formal and professional aspects. The vast array of non-profit organizations is an example in which socialization serves as a support for different populations with their diverse needs. In educational context the need for support is reflected through the fact that life in college resembles adult life in miniature, where the problems that students might face touch upon every aspect of adult life. Such aspects include employment, housing, health care, and of course, education.
