The Roommate Movie

The premise of this movie jogs my memory many of the Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh movie Single White Female, just the setting is really a dorm room instead of an apartment for rent. It is great to determine Minka Kelly finally starring inside a feature film, even if it looks ridiculously stupid. I can't lie...I might begin to see the Roommate at some time but definitely not in the theater.

Watch it spot for The Roommate. Does it look stupid to you or am I just being overly critical? Looks like Gossip Girl's beautiful baddie, Leighton Meester, is graduating from TV to film for a role in the thriller The Roommate. Meester will have Sara, "a university student who's randomly assigned to a freshman dorm having a stranger named Rebecca. Things turn deadly when Rebecca becomes obsessed and begins targeting people in Sara's life."

I have a feeling Meester will do the thriller thing perfectly, also it may be pretty satisfying doing within this role - who hasn't desired to terrorize Blair Waldorf?

She's done several movies through the years, but she's most well-known by far on her big, bad role on the small screen. Do you think she'll do well as the lead within this thriller?

Do you consider it'll be fun to see her branch out a little, or will she continually be Miss Blair for you? I had been a large fan of 2LDK (this week I loaned my copy to some coworker, who loved it!), and it is epic undertake roommate disputes gone awry, so when I saw the trailer for the supernatural mystery, The Roommate, I had been figured I'd found myself a nice double feature candidate.

Now, I ought to probably clarify myself here. The Roommate shares little that is similar to 2LDK outside of its claustrophobic depiction of two female roommates and their subsequent date with death, but its slow-burning tale is constructed decently well enough to serve as a chaser to 2LDK's frenetic splatter.
