What you don't realize is that Schoolies gives you the opportunity to spread your wings and explore not only your new surroundings, but yourself as well. This means trying new things that you might enjoy, it means perhaps even starting a new hobby. Here are a couple of crazy ideas:
Take Up Horse riding
There's one thing we can tell you about getting older, and that's that you look back and think about the things you wanted to do, but never got round to. And while many adults don't realize it's never too late, we want to encourage you to take the bull by the horns! Or the horse by the reins, as it were.
Horse riding is not only fun, but is something to be enjoyed from the start, even if you've never done it before. It's a skill grand enough to put on your CV and is just plain impressive when you say it. Do your research and find out if horse riding is available at your Schoolies destination. And then start practising your "Yee-ha!" in the shower.
Become A Photographer
Someone once said that, to become a master at anything, you have to put in more than 10 000 hours worth of practise. While you may not have 10 000 hours to practice your photography skills before Schoolies arrive, now's a good time to start snapping away.
The reason we're encouraging photography is simple: Schoolies is defined by thousands of young, carefree and fun-seeking individuals in one place. This will make for some interesting (to say the least) photo opportunities and could earn you a pretty penny from a variety of publications.

While blogging has become an established everyday phenomenon, a simple, original angle could be the start of a highly successful website. Oh, and just in case you didn't know: with a couple of thousand unique hits a day, the potential remuneration isn't to be sniffed at, either.
Make Someone Else Smile
Why should you make someone else smile? Perhaps because it will be good for them, but maybe because it will be good for you too.
You cannot deny that people seldom have time for others nowadays. It's just a result of the pressing demands of society. As such the act of making someone else smile falls into the category of 'Crazy Things to Do'.
By simply going out of your way to make someone else smile, you’ll have committed an act of kindness that is nothing short of heroic by modern day standards. Sometimes it requires a simple gift, perhaps a kind word or a good ear. Maybe, just maybe, all it will take, is a smile from you.
