The metaphysical happening entitled, “The Shift,” is an interesting phenomena.
The Shift is about all of us learning a new way to live. Our old way of pushing through to get what we want, no longer works. Just notice our financial system. Our government. Our way of conducting business.
We may be doing everything possible to create what we think we want and nothing appears to be happening. We think positively, we work on ourselves ad infinitum, we try. Personally, I’ve spent many thousands on classes in my field, followed up with how to market what I know. Zzzz...
Recently, a friend shared the story of the spider, long admired in shamanic culture.
The tiny baby spider is born along with hundreds of brothers and sisters. One of the first things he does is spin a little lifeline for himself. Then he swings gently with the breeze on his personal trapeze. He allows himself to be carried. No resistance. Shortly he will bump into something and affix himself to a leaf, a post, a branch.
Once settled, our spider gets to work spinning a web. That accomplished, he sits back. He trusts all is well. He awaits dinner. Innately, he surrenders to his fate, all the while expecting that life will bring him what he needs to survive.
By spinning his geometrically intricate web, the spider takes action. This is part one of the process. The second part is what we humans have difficulty mastering. The taking action, part one, is the masculine energy that has been revered for centuries. Part two, is the feminine energy, the surrender, and what we are learning has value only now.
Most often, women have the challenge of taking action, of making things happen, i.e. spinning our web. Men have the challenge of being still, of being receptive, of trusting the Universe will provide.
Perhaps it is time to spin your web; i.e. to look for a job, to communicate with the appropriate people what you hope to accomplish, to think positively. And then to consciously move into part two. To be still. To listen. Be aware. And wait expectantly for the Universe to provide, knowing all is well.
