The Stages Of Outer Body Experiences
Astral Projection, out of body experience , and similar phenomena are skills that can be learned. Many people seek out experiences such as this as a means of achieving spiritual enlightenment that may have eluded them in the past. The ability to travel outside one’s body can be a means of connecting with another world entirely, which is often a way of achieving a higher level of consciousness or enlightenment. The state can be induced by mechanical, mental, or chemical means and occurs in a progression of several distinct stages. Through each stage, it is possible to achieve various levels of consciousness or awareness, thus heightening the experience overall. The withdrawal stage occurs in the beginning of the experience. It is the stage in which the body’s interaction with the physical state ceases as one enters the outer body experience. It often occurs during deep sleep or a lucid dream state and involves a complete lack of attention to the physical world. Often, this is seen as traveling the astral plane, which is why the term astral projection is used to describe the phenomenon. The cataleptic stage occurs when the body’s movement becomes impaired. Usually seen as sleep paralysis, there is often the sensation of outside stimuli, like vibrations, being present during this stage. During the out of body experience, one may also experience what is called the separation stage. At this point, the person may see things from an entirely different perspective. This is the stage in which one might see their own body as they float above it. The separation stage is closely associated with near death experiences. The final stages of the experience involve free movement and re-entry. At some point, movement can go from being impaired to becoming completely free. Visual and mental clarity will increase at this time, often occurring in a lucid dream state. The re-entry stage is when the astral body will return to the physical one. This marks the end of the outer body experience and is often the stage in which one awakens from a sleep state. For every outer body experience, there can be a completely unique progression of the stages. It is also common for one or more of the stages to be absent from the experience. As more people seek knowledge about experiences like this, they become more widely accepted. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Steve G. Jones is a founder Steve G.
