The structure of the squeeze page is vital to your success.
The web designers want it to look pretty; I judge squeeze pages by how many new opt-ins I get. Some of the ugliest pages have been hits because they do what they were intended to do.
Regardless of the beauty of the page, here are my 10 Tips for Highly Effective Squeeze Pages:
1. Squeeze pages are selling only one thing – the opt-in box. That means your design, copy and layout serves one purpose. I learned this one after spending $3,000 on really, pretty artwork and Adwords. Place the first opt-in box under the headline. 6. Keep the page clean. I can’t emphasize this enough. You aren’t selling the product; you’re inviting the viewer to give you their name and email address in return for a great and valuable free product.
7. Place the opt-in box and the artwork at the bottom of the page for the folks who like to read. There should be no other links on the page. We want them to click on the opt-in box.
8. Your button should say something descriptive – not submit or enter. If you are giving away a tutorial, you can have your button say “Enroll Here Today.” Or even the try the
