The UFC officially announced the return of Brandon "The Truth" Vera today, which is only going to deepen an already stacked Heavyweight division. The landscape of the division has changed drastically since Brandon's last foray into the UFC, with additions like Antonion "Minotauro" Nogueira as well as the overnight rise of Gabriel Gonzaga. Although Brandon did promise to make a return before the end of the year, it seems as though he's going to have his work cut out for him to get back into title contention, “I realize the UFC heavyweight division is much stronger now, but I like having more challenges, and that just gives me more motivation to train" said Vera to UFC.com.
UFC.com also stated that Vera would most likely make his return on the December card which could also feature Wanderlei Silva in his UFC return as well. The last card of the year is shaping up to be big and with the return of the "The Truth" there's bound to be exciting all night long. Let's just hope that all of these things actually come to fruition this time as opposed to just being rumored and then falling through again.
