The Witching Hour Is Here, Is Your Halloween Costume?
Time for the ghost and goblins to come out, bats to fly around, and witches to get their brooms ready. Have you gotten your Halloween costume out yet this year? You need to get cracking, if your costume has been stored it just may not fit this year, or may have been bitten by the critters that come out at night. Mice, those dreadful little critters may have already taken a few bites out of what you thought was going to be your Halloween costume this year. Halloween costumes can last for years, if you properly store them. You can hand down your costumes to the younger members of your family, or even pass them on to a neighbor in need, or a charity where you know they will be used. Every year new costumes are coming out, the new movies seem to promote costumes that our children are dying to wear. When Toy Story came out, how many cowboys did you see? When Shrek came out how many Shrek's did you have knocking at your door? If you need to purchase a new Halloween costume this year, don't forget to take into consideration who is going to be wearing the costume, is it going to be safe for the age of child you are purchasing it for? It also could be for an adult who may be ready to go trick or treating, which you just may get a trick rather than a treat. If you can't find a costume that suits your fancy at the local stores, you might think about going to a costume shop and renting a costume. Renting costumes can be so much fun, the costume shops generally have such a variety of costumes to choice from. You may be anything from something scary as Count Dracula, to a handsome prince or a beautiful princess. Halloween is supposed to be filled with fun, children knocking on doors, parties with kids bobbing for apples, scary music playing and those creepy crawlers out and about. While out knocking on those doors in anticipation of that candy, try and surprise the person opening that creaking door with an outrageous costume that they will remember for a long time to come. Be different, have fun with your Halloween costume even if you need to make a few adjustments to it. If you choose not to buy, or rent a costume, you can always make your own Halloween costume with just a little imagination. Frankenstein came from an imagination, just look how great he came out. With just a few items that you more than likely have around your home, you could become many different characters. How about a mummy? With an old white sheet, torn into strips, you are instantly a mummy. If you prefer, you could even become Casper with that white sheet. Okay, go enjoy your Halloween costume, knock on those doors and fill those bags.
