The Xango Business Opportunity Stuck In The 80s?
However, when reviewing the XanGo business model and opportunity, I found a few things that were a little unsettling. It wasn’t the fact that this is yet another juice company that is selling another health and wellness product. It doesn’t matter how many of these network marketing companies promote health and wellness, people board that train because they see the dream of owning their own company become a reality. That isn’t the disturbing part. The part that was a little unsettling with the XanGo opportunity is that they seem stuck in the 80’s. Most people are trying to figure out exactly what I mean by that. In the 1980’s network marketing was pretty hot. Most people would talk to all their friends and family at hotel meetings and house parties. This was the traditional mlm tools: Face-to-face contact and phone conversations. I truly believe that personal contact still has its place in network marketing. People are much more likely to join your business because they don’t want to disappoint you to your face. But the unsettling question I had to ask myself was, “Is that the type of person I want to join my business”? I’m talking about someone who will most likely fall off within a few days because they don’t have as many friends and don’t have a big enough family to talk to and perhaps don’t have the time to coordinate a house party or hotel meeting or that person simply doesn’t know how to say “no’. Without getting into all the details of the XanGo business, this network marketing model promotes people to go out and talk to people about their opportunity. Now I am by no means telling you not to go out and talk to people. Network marketing is a people business. I’m suggesting there are better mlm tools out there. Where the XanGo business opportunity not only suggests you go face-to-face, they also suggest you buy a bunch of samples to pass out so people can see for themselves how truly they can benefit from this product. This is the way of the past. This is 1980’s and pretty disappointing for a newer company that came out in the 21 century. Welcome to the year 2010 as this is the new age of network marketing online! The one key component that the XanGo business model fails to mention that they support is marketing online. They don’t say that you cannot do it; they just fail to mention it altogether. For a company that launched less than 10 years ago in the rising age of the computer, I was a little disappointed in this as the companies that are really soaring to the top are the newer companies that are utilizing the right mlm tools. There are some seriously great mlm tools available to generate leads, get in touch with bigger groups of people who actually are interested in mlm and the use of mlm tools as well as want to be part of a XanGo business. These mlm tools are helping distributors get their XanGo business off the ground faster and with serious momentum. All in all, I am not bashing XanGo in the least. I think this company has a very special product line and is a top company that people want to be part of. I’m simply implying that they need to recommend the right mlm tools from the get go in order to get their representatives off to a better start so they can have a successful XanGo business rather than a failing one.
