The Coolest Movie Transformers

Transformers toys have been popular for years. The original toy lines were for the most part incredibly well designed and thought out looking a lot like the cartoon characters they were based on. However some of them just didn't look that great when transformed into a robot. It wasn't possible to get Megatron to transform from a hand gun into a robot that looked like his cartoon counterpart. For the live action Transformers movies there have been lots of toys too numerous to mention that have been produced. These toys are incredible works of engineering and art that can be transformed to look like accurate models of the robot and vehicle.

One of the best that I've seen so far is the Leader class Optimus Prime from Revenge of the fallen. This Optimus toy stands at well over 10 inches and in vehicle mode is very sturdy and heavy. There are so many moving parts on this toy that it is very easy to get confused when transforming it. There are instructions that come with it but they don't make it much easier. To make transforming the toy as easy as possible I would recommend looking at videos online which show you how. It is so much easier to watch someone transform a toy than to figure it out from instructions. Once you finally get the leader class Optimus into robot mode you will be delighted. He looks incredibly close to the movie version of the character. There are different versions available. One with energon blades and one with energon hooks. The version with hooks also has some black paint applied to areas to make Prime look battle damaged.

Bumblebee is a character that has had many great figures made of him. For the movie Dark of the Moon Bumblebee has been released in some fantastic ranges. There is a Mech Tech Bumblebee which is about 7 inches tall and comes with a mech tech gun. I have to say I really preferred the previous idea of the Transformers having their guns built in to their arms but Mech Tech is still quite cool. There is also a leader class Bumblebee figure which is massive. It is even bigger than the leader class Optimus Prime. It also comes with Mech Tech technology.

For the second film Revenge of the Fallen there is a toy of the Fallen which I've always loved. Although the Fallen doesn't have a great alt mode the robot form looks fantastic. He transformers into a Cybertronian jet like Megatron in the first movie.

Ironhide is a great character from Transformers and there have been lots of really cool toys of him. The latest voyager class Ironhide from Dark of the Moon looks great in robot mode although his legs are much too skinny. His Mech Tech gun is so big that it doesn't really fit into his hand. The leader class Ironhide is one mighty looking robot and one I would love to get hold of.
