Australia is one of the countries that stand out amid the economical storm that has taken over almost the entire globe. Almost 20% of business people mentioned Australia as the number one country that is unaffected by recession. Survey was made on 7500 people in more than 24 nations and had the purpose of gauging the impact this downturn had on businesses on a global level . Apart from Australia, China and India are also ranked high.

People that work with Australian businessmen said they appear relatively unaffected during the past six months, compared to other international businesses. Moreover 71% of business people in Australia believe the country is lucky and the rest of the world seems to agree. Pessimistic media reports were the number one concern among Australian businesses, the survey found. The countries perceived to be surviving the economic crisis the best, as voted by international businesspeople are:
