The Many Advantages Of Going On A Cruise

My wife and I have been “cruising” for over ten years now. The first time we went just blew our minds and we have been going every year since, either with family or friends of ours. It was friends of ours that suggested that we go on a cruise and we have never looked back since, we always have a great time.

A cruise has endless advantages when you compare it to regular holidays. You get to see and experience so many different places and things while on a cruise. Usually you stop eight to ten times depending on the length of your cruise. One of the most beautiful places that we have ever stopped at was Antigua in the Caribbean. We love the Caribbean. You really get to see so much in a two-week cruise, and of course if you are lucky and have the time you can go on a longer cruise - these are wonderful as well.

All the entertainment on board is free. This we feel is a massive advantage, you are never stuck for anything to do, there is always something going on, you could never get bored. There are a range of activities on during the day, and always a show or dancing on after dinner. Me and my wife love to dance. We have even taken our two young grandchildren aged just 7 years and 10 years old. They really enjoyed the kids’ club, the staff was great with them and they met lots of friends. It was great to know that they were in safe hands at all times. We know it can be a little nervous with children on board of a ship at first.

The food served is absolutely delicious - it is 5 star food and 5 star service. We have never had a complaint about the meals, the choice you have is huge, we never can decide. We feel that the best thing is all your food and beverages are included in the price of your holiday. Some cruises even include all the tips, what an advantage no worrying about paying while on board.

The services that are offered on a cruise are endless. You get use of a fully equipped gym that offers a full range of exercise programs from aerobics to yoga, which is great for me as my wife loves to do yoga, so I get some time to myself to play a little mini golf. My wife is a huge fan of the health spa that is on board. She feels that there is nothing better than spoiling yourself while on holiday.

My wife and I have always found the staff on a cruise very polite, knowledgeable and courteous. They really can’t do enough for you - nothing is too much trouble for them. We feel that “cruising” has many more advantages than a conventional beach holiday. Just think you are on a floating 5 star hotel in the middle of the Caribbean or Mediterranean Ocean – Bliss, the views are fantastic.
