The Problems With Ppc Advertising

These days, Pay Per Click advertising isn't all that its cracked up to be. There are many ways to get "scammed" by PPC advertising these days with companies like Adwords. By the time you’re done with your ad campaign, often times you'll be worse off than when you started!

The main problem with PPC campaigns is the ridiculous fee charged each time your ad is clicked. Sure, there are some keywords out there that are fairly cheap to buy, but almost all of the good ones are going to end up costing you at least a dollar or two each click. With these large fees, you may have a lot of trouble coming out on top after your Adsense campaign is over.

There aren't many sites out there that can take one two dollar visitor and get them to make you profits. They do exist obviously, or else companies like Adwords wouldn't exist, but unless you’ve found one of the few niches out there that this is possible with, then you are probably screwed. PPC advertising surely isn’t for the websites on the internet that are only monetized by Adsense or other PPC ads. The sites that do make the profits from doing PPC advertising are the major affiliate programs, and big lawyer firms.

And for the big guys like the lawyers and the affiliate marketers, Adwords is a blessing. But what about the millions of other webmasters out there who would like to get piece of the pie? It just doesn't seem possible for the vast majority of webmasters out there to benefit at all from PPC advertising unfortunately.

To state the obvious, Google just loves their PPC Adwords scheme. Think about how many millions of dollars are collected by Google each day just from people clicking on small links on web pages. Even when you are making money with Google Adwords, Google is making a ton of money off you! Probably more than you’re making actually. And of course the people who make a mistake and don’t profit at all from Adwords get basically all of their money taken by Google.

So, if you’re going to start a PPC advertising campaign, set some ground rules for yourself. For example, make sure your text ad is VERY specific! You don’t want to lose money because some idiot misinterpreted your link and clicked it because they thought it was something else. And make sure to immediately shove your affiliate product or company in the clicker's face right after they come to your site. Since obviously if they click and then turn and leave without seeing your company name, you’re out some money and you didn’t even get any exposure.

Basically the whole PPC advertising business is a waste of time, unless you are one of the 1% of people out there who can actually turn a slight profit with PPC. And if you do chose to start a campaign, good luck, you'll need it.
