The Root Of The Cause For Diabetes

In today’s world, diabetes is at an all-time high, especially among children and adolescents. The problem is, most of us are treating only the symptoms associated with diabetes and not getting to the root of the cause. Moreover, the medications diabetics take to treat the symptoms compound more complications, rather than eliminating the cause.

The main causes for diabetes are developed by:

- High fat, high sugar, and high carbohydrate diets.
- Processed and packaged foods , which contain a lot of artificial
ingredients and preservatives (most of which are devoid of your
recommended daily nutritional allowance).
- Very little or no physical activity.
- High levels of stress (physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual).

And when the following above persists, it creates more fat in the body, particularly around the abdominal area, the waist line. The more fat there is around the waist line, it causes the pancreas (which is the organ around the stomach that produces insulin) to work even harder producing more insulin. Overtime, the pancreas gets stressed from the overproduction of insulin, and it shuts down, thus, causing diabetes.

So, what are the steps to reversing or eliminating diabetes?

-Find out what nutritional deficiencies your body has and treat them with a diet and nutritional supplements geared towards these particular deficiencies.

-Increase your physical activity. This increases your insulin productivity. It doesn’t have to start out big. 20-30 minutes of walking, simple housework, bike riding, etc. Then increase the intensity of the workout after adapting to the simple ones.

-Reduce stress. That can be done by doing some hobby you enjoy, listening to some good music, socializing with people you love, whatever activity you enjoy doing. Reducing stress decreases stress on the pancreas too.

-And last but not least, reduce or eliminate, if possible, your intake on high saturated or trans fatty, high sugar, and high carbohydrate foods. Eat very little processed and packaged foods. Eat foods that are high in protein, and eat plant-based foods.
