The Vigilant Perception In Use
Process of digestion burns a lot of the energy itself and there is just the point where we can save a lot. Most people guzzle unconsciously and nearly do not perceive, because their thoughts are away when they eat. They think about problems, read, watch television, talk to others or to themselves. At the same time they do not perceive that they do not chew their food properly but they swallow the whole pieces of it. Then their body must exert a lot of energy to digest the food and produce more gastric juices. Therefore, at conscious eating, we will eat food in smaller morsels and we will chew it properly, so that the food will be ground into pieces and mixed with saliva. More consistent biting influences our subconsciousness too and a person feels already full after eating smaller amount of food. It is equally important to appreciate the food visually, its shape and colour, its taste and smell, hardness or softness, the sound which is made by chewing. Then the body knows what we eat and will produce required gastric juices. Thereby we will save other energy and prevent our stomach from producing undesirable gastric acids. Usually the choice of food is guided by the delight and the unconscious person is able to eat whatever. But we will choose the food according to its nutritive and energetic value. It is important to realise that everything, including us, is created from the light. However, we can not eat the light, therefore we must receive it mediate so far, in food. That is why the fruit and the vegetable, which absorb the light during they grow, contain the most energy. The vigilant perception is necessity at the conscious eating because the person can easily omit himself/herself and begins to raven the food again. In order to avoid this, concentrating on your breath will help you to observe the process of eating and to perceive the food. The breath is a way, how to receive energy too and it is also a good way how to concentrate and consciously do the activity that you are just doing. The vigilant perception is not concentrating on one particular thing but relaxed perceiving of everything at the same time without thinking of what you are just observing. In such perception you will be able to realise the position of your body along with your surroundings and the way you eat too. It will certainly not work at once because you still have not got enough energy. But if you handle first little step and the food chew properly at least, then your energy will increase and you will be able to do the other step. And if you retain attention during the whole meal you will experience something great. You will feel fresh, light and full of energy after the meal, not tired as in the unconscious eating so far. Not any the less important is who and how prepared the food. If someone cooks with love and attention, the food is strengthened by these vibrations and will give us much more vitality. You must have noticed that the food made from the same stuff tastes differently when it is made by different people and completely different if it is, for example, prepared by machines in large canteens. And also if you are thankful for the gifts that you receive for retaining of your body, another power will be transferred into the food too.
