They’re Your Dog’s Dog Treats And Dog Toys! Not Yours!

Are you getting your fuzzy, little friend the dog treats and dog toys you think they like, or that you know they like?

Have we ever run into a store to pick up dog treats, or dog toys for our pet and just grabbed the first thing we could reach, thinking our pet will enthusiastically accept it and cherish it forever? Have we ever seen these same dog treats and dog toys some time later and noticed that they’re, almost, in the same exact condition as they were when you first bought them from the store? Sometimes, it’s wise to step out of our human minds and put ourselves in the minds of our ever-so-loyal friends. Are we buying dog treats and dog toys that we think our dogs are going to enjoy, or are we buying our dogs dog treats and dog toys that we know they’re going to enjoy? Dogs have very little use for knick-knacks and such, so it’ll be for the record books to see a dog using undesirable dog treats and dog toys as anything other than something to snack on and something to play with when the feeling overcomes them. At the same time, it’s not really fair to have our beloved pets snacking on tasteless dog treats and frolicking with not-so-fun dog toys because they really weren’t given a choice in the matter. If anything and as implied, they’d probably just ignore them altogether, or bury them in the neighbor’s yard!

It’s been some time since the first pet shop opened its doors to the public, offering everything from the pet, itself, to the basic necessities that comes with owning a pet. These days, though, to call these stores “pet shops” is comparable to calling the autobahn a “street.” If you can walk into any pet store these days and not find at least two aisles dedicated to dog treats and dog toys, then you’re in a bowling alley!

Dog treats and dog toys are big business and for good reason. Dogs love dog treats. Dogs love dog toys. Dog owners, for the most part, love their dogs. Therefore, dogs get dog treats. Dogs get dog toys. It’s been estimated, by some, that dogs receive more gifts from their owners than people get from their own loved ones. As recommendations would have it, it’s advised that when you, as the owner, are going to choose dog treats and/or dog toys for your pet, be sure to know your pet well enough to know what’s going to stimulate their carnal passions. Most, if not all, dog treats are advertised to be the greatest on the market. As we know, the advertisement does not guarantee truth. Like people, dogs can acquire a preferred taste from one treat to the next. It’s best to pay attention to these preferred tastes to determine which dog treats to purchase more often and more abundantly. There are many dog treats these days, too, that are quite beneficial for our pets health. It’s the same with dog toys, too. Like people, dogs can acquire a preferred interest from one toy to the next. Dogs, too, prefer toys that will stimulate their basic functions, such as sight, smell, sound, taste and touch. This, of course, stimulates movement and exercise which, in turn, promotes good health. In a sense and to an extent, all we’re doing is allowing our dogs to choose, for themselves, what they really want!
