Those about to take a cheap Holiday in Dubai have been advised on what to do and where to go once they get to the exotic location.

Writing for InsideBayArea.com, Ann Tatko-Peterson states: "Dubai has become one of the fastest-growing tourism hot spots. When it comes to hotels and things to do, the choices seem endless."

She recommends paying a visit to the Mall of Emirates for a first-rate shopping experience encompassing 466 retailers and all manner of local goods.

Furthermore, she adds, those visiting in 2010 could be there in time for the opening of its second wing, the Dubai Mall, which will boast 1,200 outlets, an observation deck and its very own ice rink.

Gold Souk, which is in Deira, could also make for a magnificent spectacle, the writer adds, as it is home to 300 retailers selling gleaming jewellery and accessories.

Finally, Jumeira Beach could provide a much-needed oasis, Ms Tatko-Peterson concludes, as it offers picnic and play areas as well as a great spot for a dip.
