Why do people take holidays? They leave for a vacation when they have the need to retreat; they want to go spend time away from their routine life, from the everyday hassles, and from tackling day to day issues. They want to leave it all somewhere and go enjoy themselves with having nothing to do. They think getting bored is something to look forward to.
The worst part is that others do not understand the need for peace, others being the nationals of the country. Come to think of it; it is not only the nationals that annoy the tourists. It could be a bit of everything. When you look forward to things, sometimes they just tend to go wrong, which makes you want to work harder to try and achieve the end results.
I think the most annoying as well as the most dreaded thing that can happen is that you get a call from work. This is a secret fear for most working individuals, who take a leave from their jobs to go enjoy some time off and relax.
It is supremely annoying when nationals do not cooperate with the tourists. In China, even when the citizens, who know English, sometimes choose not to help the tourists, unless they speak Chinese. This annoyed tourists and hence, has become a known fact worldwide.
In Japan, for the longest of times, tourists were exasperated because the people of Japan suffered from Xenophobia, which is the fear of foreign people. This definitely made them stubborn. It could have lead to people getting lost and never being found. The idea is open to many possibilities.
Tourists get extremely irritated when everyday instances become de-javu. This can be proven by a testimony. A tourist, who goes to the subway every day, is being given help by Germans who barely speak English. Well, it is more like help is being forced down his throat. These Germans act like they have never seen him before, although they see him every day.
Sometimes, when people leave their country to travel to other countries, they are so used to their own routines that a simple change results in being a huge irritation. Something as simple as others not making queues to buy things is enough, because these others expect themselves to be served first, being given preferential treatment over the foreign entities.
Tourists might not like the choices available for food. The food that is available sometimes does not suit their stomachs. In some countries, there is a rule that food will not be served anywhere after a given time. This happens in Iran, and hence, people travelling from other cities from all over Iran have to make sure that they take chunks of snacks so that they do not have to skip a meal. Sometimes, you arrive late at night into a city, but you have to remain hungry unless you have munchies with you.
