Many people who have their interest on planes that are good trainers, this type of Cessna will make it worth their flying time. The 152 is a successor to the popular Cessna 150, back in the year 1978. It may be obvious that this actually resembles in a very strong way its predecessor, the Cessna 150 although it is also highly noted that it came with several significant changes.

As a standard aircraft for most flying schools, the Cessna 152 is the smallest 4 cylinder single engine airplane but don’t be fooled by its size as this plane is powered by 110 HP Lycoming 4 cylinder engine. It can load up on aviation fuel of up to 37.5 gallons. Its predecessor, the Cessna 150 had the Continental 80 octane engine and the replacement that the 152 made on its engine gave it a better advantage. Its propeller was also replaced giving this 152 more power than the 150. The 152 can give a flyer about 5 hours of flying time when at a cruising speed of 100 knots. Converting this to distance, the flyer could pretty much cover a distance of 500 nautical miles or 900 kilometers.

One of the reasons that this type of Cessna is well-preferred is that it requires little space for it to take off and land, like maybe even a short or soft airfield. With all these, the 152 is by far one of the most popular small aircrafts there is in the world.
