Things You Should Talk About.

Hope fully on your first date there wont be any uncomfortable silences. You want to be able to make easy conversation. The ice breaker is pretty hard to come up with. The perfect balance is to ask a reasonable amount of questions while giving a reasonable amount of information about your self.

Start of by giving them a little piece of your background about your life. Keep it light hearted, chuck in a couple of funny stories so keep up a positive vibe. For example when your dog ran off with the table cloth, spilling things every where. Ask about there life and hopefully your date will respond with a funny story too.

While your chatting about your job, keep that in a positive too. Give a short description of what you like about your job don't go about how much you hate it and the bad parts about it. Always try and keep the conversation smiling.

When your date is giving you information about themselves, try not to interrupt them. It is very rude. Be attentive to what they are saying. Look at them, try not to gaze around the room. They will notice that too. Watch what they do with there arms and hands. Keep lots of eye contact with them.

When you are approaching subjects such as sport, you need to be careful not to over power them with it. If you really like it they may not or visa versa. Its good to touch on a subject like that but not go into one. Its good to be passionate about something, but not to expect everyone to have the same passion as you.

Music is such a varied topic to talk about, there is so much out there. Its great if you can in on that subject. You can talk about what albums you like and why. Make sure you you take in what they like too. You could even like the same music. Maybe even plan a date to a gig in the future.

There a lot of great topics out there to start off with. Steer away from strong topics like religion and babies. Topics that need a strong opinion with them. You two do not want to be arguing or heavily debating on your first date. Save that for when you know each other a bit more.

You will feel the chemistry by the end of the date. Hopefully you both will and all your dates will get easier with each and every one of them.
