Think It's All The Same?

North America has discovered this difference and, for the most part, haven't kept it much of a secret. I've witnessed this difference first hand, as I've lived here for a better part of 10 years.

For more then 30 years, the weather channel girl has sung its praises of bright sunshine and everything else that goes along with that.

If you haven't figured out the big secret yet, I'll fill in the blanks for you - its South Florida in the Sunshine State. Its true that the weather is the main attraction that has a magnetic pull on so many to this peninsula, but the everyday living is what keeps those people from going back after their vacation is over. Speaking with different people regarding when they moved down here, its amazing how often I hear that they came down for a vacation and haven't moved back. Thousands of new residents come to the Sunshine state to claim it their own, and thats something that not too many places around the country can say.

I've been living in south Florida for a bit longer then a decade and it has been an exciting and rewarding experiences every step of the way. So, everyone knows about the nearly perfect weather that engulfs the state and they may have heard about the long stretches of beaches that are located here - but the nightlife is just as impressive. New York and Los Angeles more then likely has their pulse on nightlife entertainment, but not close behind them is a place where A-listers come down to visit.

it is true, that from time to time the weather does give us some trouble down here. Since I've lived down here there have only been three hurricanes and although they were scary, it comes with the territory. There is a risk of Mother Nature becoming angry all over the country - the northeast has to deal with snowstorms, the northwest has to contend with mudslides and the middle of the country has to escape the threats of tornadoes. You take the good with the bad while living or visiting Miami.

If you plan on escaping to South Florida, you may also be intrigued regarding the different influences. Food, drink, the different vernacular that people speak, adds to the flair of south Florida. The music seems to get kick started down here before it reaches other parts of the country - so you know that the clubs that line popular Collins Avenue in Miami or the music clubs on Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale are always rippin' and roarin'. I love food, and the different flavors that give your taste buds a journey to the tropics where spices and a laid back atmosphere is bountiful.

Adventure on both land and water awaits you from the time you wake up till the time last call is announced. Watching the sun go to bed every night while sailing on a sunset cruise is on of my personal favorite things to do. Outdoor activities more your thing? For beginners, there are more golf courses per square miles down here then in most places around the country, and that's just the beginning of outdoor fun to be had.

This salty piece of land has welcomed people from all over. I suppose that adds to the diversity that is south Florida living. No reason is needed why there is such an influx of people that come down here and, for some, choose not to leave. So, if you're looking for a new lifestyle and escape that cabin fever like existence, come down to South Florida with a suitcase full of shorts, cotton t-shirts and your favorite pair of flip flops.
