Thinking Of Yourself As Ceo Of Your Career Can Help You Get A Great Job In The Fashion Industry
When I think about it, this is the same thing someone looking for a job in today's economy needs to do. You should make sure your brand (you!!) is especially top notch. Take a good look at yourself. Do you present the most polished physical appearance you can? Are your writing and speaking skills top notch? Are you doing excellent work at your current job or at school (wherever you are right now). This is your product. How good is your resume? Does it include your successes? Have you been networking? This is marketing. What about salary? You should take a good look at the position and price yourself appropriately. Again you must present value. When you go on an interview be prepared. Know the company and the job And why you are a good fit. Send thank you notes. This is the excellent customer service part. And of course having a good positive attitude. No negativity or complaining in an interview. A positive attitude in your thinking brings positive results. In the book "The Secret" the author talks about how believing in something creates an energy that brings what you want to you. It sounds magical and maybe to some extent it is. So keep working at developing the magic of a positive attitude. And finally think outside the box. How can you stand out from the herd? It is especially tough to get a new job in this economy, but not impossible. By thinking of yourself the CEO of your career will help you think through the steps it takes to find one.
