Those Precious Backstage Passes

A lot of folks are interested in getting their hands on backstage passes. Personally, I’m not interested in getting them except for my husbands’ bands. However, I have now lost interest in these kinds of things. Of course, I would have loved to get one to meet the members of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. In those years, I had a long list of bands that I loved and would have loved to meet. Unfortunately, it never really happened. Anyway, it never made any difference in the end. All I wanted was to have fun at the shows.

These days, I no longer have a long list of bands that I listen to so I’m not interested in getting backstage passes. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I don’t really need backstage passes to see the one singer I love to listen to. I consider myself extremely lucky because I’ve quite often spent time with him. However, I don’t know when I’ll see him again because that his health is now an issue. Nevertheless, I am still grateful for all that I have. I am also looking forward to the day when he sings again and I can hear him one more time.

You need to be careful when you purchase backstage passes off the Internet or from auction sites. These passes are usually not for sale because they are only given out to friends and family. This means that the passes that are for sale may not be real. Anyway, the big backstage blowouts aren’t what they used to be. Fans can still enter the backstage, but they don’t give out the backstage passes like they used to.

Backstage passes are generally issued for special reasons. Concert contests for fans are sometimes held with these passes as the prizes. These passes are also given out for Make a Wish or other similar organization. The types of backstage passes that are available will depend on the band or the performer. There are artists who love to give them out, while others simply don’t have the time or energy to meet fans each night. Getting your hands on these passes may be a matter of luck and having the right connections.
