Three Minor But Significant Traffic Tips For Promoting Your Website
Im sure you have heard internet marketers talk about article marketing is the best way to get traffic to your website or blog. This is true but it is not the only way to get traffic to your site. I will describe some other ways that I have used to get massive amounts of traffic other than using article marketing.
One method that I use often is using squidoo and hubpages to created small web pages about my website. These sites are free to use and you can make as many web pages as you want. You make a web page and have some content that discusses what your site is primarily about. Squidoo and hubpages both have modules that you can use to add video, photos, polls, text content etc. It is very easy to use and it only takes you about thirty minutes to do. In your text content is where you want to put a link back to your website. You only want to put only one or two links to your website because if you have too many links to your site they will think that you are just for self promotion and not actually adding value to your web page and they will ban you. Try to keep your links to a minimum.
Another way to promote your website is signing up to relevant forums and leave your signature. When you sign up to these forums you want to make sure that you can leave a signature otherwise it would be pointless to sign up. After you sign up you can create your signature by going to your control panel and create it using something called BB code. You can find out more by searching for BB code on google or any search engine. Now you don’t want to post just one time with a cheap post that says “thanks”. You want to contribute to the forum and ask questions, and engage in the discussions that people are having. You must also do this consistently for a couple weeks to get some good PR back to your website. If you do this daily you will see results in less than a week or even two.
One technique that you can use is creating a blog for your website. Blogs are the most underused way of promoting a website. If you have a well developed blog you can use that blog over and over again to promote sites based on its content. You want to create your own unique content for all your blogs you will create; and you want to create them not on a specific theme but a more general theme such as online business. Create a small paragraph of content each day and add it to your blog every day until you have a substantial amount of content on your blog or blogs. You can then link this blog with your relevant websites and start creating a powerful blog that can send you link power for a very long time. This method takes a little bit of work but it is worth doing for the long term.
